Chapter: Elgin
Letter to the Members: My name is Coy Davidson, currently serving as your 2026-2027 Oklahoma FFA State President. I am currently a sophomore at Oklahoma State University, where I am studying Agricultural Economics. I graduated from Elgin High School in the Southwest Area. The Elgin FFA Chapter is the reason I found my passion for agriculture and for this organization. During my time at Elgin, I had three incredible agricultural education instructors who each played a crucial role in shaping me into the leader I am today.
Throughout my career in FFA, I participated in several Career and Leadership Development Events, such as Agricultural Sales, Sporting Clays, and Parliamentary Procedure, but my favorite, and the reason I joined FFA, was Prepared Public Speaking. I had two Supervised Agricultural Experiences throughout my time in the FFA. One was in Agricultural Mechanics Design and Fabrication, in which I own and operate Red Dirt Lanyards. Through this SAE, I sell handmade duck and goose calls, along with paracord lanyards, to outdoorsmen all across the country.
One of my favorite memories as an FFA member was my first-ever Alumni Leadership Camp the summer after my eighth grade year. I was never a very shy student; however, this experience pushed me even further outside of my comfort zone. I learned so much that week and met some of my best friends, whom I still talk to today. It was because of the impact this camp had on my journey that I am who I am today.
I also have two brothers and an incredible family. Together, we love everything about the outdoors and spend much of our time traveling around the state hunting or enjoying God's creation.
